Always wanted to try it, but i think i would like to go with someone who knows the place as heard it can be tricky if you dont know the place. Float fishing in the summer for wrasse sounds good, a fish i have always wanted to catch.

you can buy the fox ones, some are self cocking (like col) and others come with inline leads.

A chap I was speaking to at Gillingham Pier today says its his favourite venue. He reckons that if fish close in with a biat about a metre or two down with a small weight yiou can have a lot of fun with wrasse. he also said its a good mark for spinning and plugging.

I wouldnt mind giving it a go myself

my favourite mark is probably sandgate castle. fished it today without much luck for a couple of hours before the weather turned, but i hear it chucks up some nice bass in the summer. the beach is lovely to be honest, quite close to local shops/chippy/pubs so always nice to have on your door step if you want something kinda thing.

apart from that maybe my good friend mermaids cafe in folkestone. had my biggest bass of 2.5lb's from there in march.
